Surprise Nashville Proposal for Florida Couple

Okay, so, this was easily the most epic proposal that I’ve ever photographed. Like, when I say “ever,” I mean EVER, so if you are reading this as someone planning your own Nashville proposal, I say this with love, but… You have some serious competition in Chris and Moleyk.

(But, I have faith in you. You’re totally up for the challenge.)

Chris and Moleyk traveled to Nashville from Tallahassee, Florida for what Chris thought was just a run-of-the mill photoshoot at the Parthenon with his boyfriend. Little did he know, Moleyk was going to drop to one knee during the most mic-droppable moment I’ve ever trained my lens on.

“A photo session that turned into a proposal became a truly unforgettable moment, thanks to Ali and my fiancé. Ali exceeded all expectations, embodying everything you could hope for in a photographer and more. She made the entire shoot effortless, seamless, and even added a touch of bling. We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to collaborate with her, and we are overjoyed that my fiancé found a photographer who played such a crucial role in orchestrating such a significant moment for us and surprise for me (Chris). We will always be grateful to her! –Chris and Moleyk

Couples Photoshoot Turned Nashville Proposal

We started out the ninety degree Nashville proposal under the guise of said standard couples photoshoot. Chris and Moleyk wandered under the bright pink, flowering trees that just so happened to match Chris’ sweater perfectly, while I snapped away. They cozied up on a park bench, whispering and laughing with each other, while I acted as honorary third wheel. They did what two people who are just meant to be together do and interacted naturally, while I played along, as if none the wiser to what was coming next.

Epic Parthenon Proposal

And then it happened.

Chris and Moleyk were standing back to back holding hands, which Moleyk knew was his cue to reach into his pocket and dig out the ring. At my “okaaaay,” Moleyk dropped to one knee, and Chris turned to see what I was going to prompt next.

No prompt necessary. Just the cinematic magic unfolding naturally in front of my very eyes.

And the photos say it all.

Chris was totally shocked, having no earthly idea that this proposal was coming. The rest of our time together was honestly just three humans– the newly engaged Chris and Moleyk, along with myself– celebrating their Nashville proposal together at the Parthenon. The unbridled joy is unmissable, from the grins on their faces to the way they proceeded to romp through the park together.

Getting to photograph any stage of your love story is a big deal for me, but I was especially honored that Chris and Moleyk traveled all the way from Florida to Tennessee to have their Nashville proposal captured by the likes of me. One look at the play-by-play photographs of Moleyk dropping to one knee while Chris turned to him, and I am reminded that this is exactly what I was meant to do with my life.

There’s no question that dedicating my existence to photographing the ordinary and the extraordinary– both co-existing side by side in your own love story– is what I was born to do. And I can’t wait to capture your extraordinary, ordinary, and everything in between.

Advance apologies for how much I’m about to rave about this themed Yellowstone wedding in Glacier National Park, but I think it might be my Roman Empire.

(Scratch that, it is, without a doubt, my Roman Empire.)

From my vantage point, as the traveling wedding photographer who was lucky enough to document their Minnesota wedding, a lot of this “masterpiece-ness” can be chalked up to the Minneapolis wedding vendors who contributed their own creative ingenuity to the day.

Think that by having an intimate microwedding, you’ll be settling for less? Think again!

Of course, there will be less guests if you and yours choose to have a microwedding, but Kalli and Ryan’s spunky Canada microwedding is proof that you won’t lose any of the ‘wow factor’ by keeping it small.

Even still, despite the fact that this stunning Nashville couple was basically made to be photographed by none other than me, myself, and I, their two hour engagement photoshoot as a part of my signature wedding package was an absolute MUST.

Worry no longer, newlyweds-to-be. You can, in fact, have the Southern summer wedding of your dreams, thanks to Emerald Union and how much heart and soul they’ve put into their indoor space.

Okay, so, this was easily the most epic proposal that I’ve ever photographed. Like, when I say “ever,” I mean EVER.
